why drum?

when we drum we can feel the benefits for ourselves and that is better than reading about it

however, it may interest some of you to discover the extensive scientific research that has been
carried out to prove how the drums help us- although this only forms part of a much bigger picture
as they focus is on 'separate' aspects of life and life isn't really like that!
infact everything we do, think, say,
affects everything else
so when we drum...
we change the world!
lets do it together

when we drum we sympathetically and subconsciously align with the universal heart beat.
don't ask me for proof,  I have not carried out extensive research.
so how do I know? I feel it. I 'know' it!
how many of us put others first? wanting to be helpful in the community? guess what...
as we drum with a focus and intention of supporting something else, maybe something much bigger than our selves
we support ourselves as everything is innately connected. and if this is all a bit too much for you to take on

...why not come along to a meeting and try it for yourself?
you never know, it might also be fun!

Participating in a drumming circle allows the resident with dementia who may have lost executive abilities, to take an object and affect another object - and sustain that activity. It provides for meaningful sound when communication skills have deteriorated.
